Use of vaping devices and e-cigarettes

Some cannabis medicines can be consumed by an e-cigarette or vaping. E-cigarettes are not harm-free and may expose users and bystanders to chemicals that are harmful to health.

The use of vapes or e-cigarettes is regulated by the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000. You cannot use a vape or e-cigarette in designated smoke free areas. Individual establishments and workplaces such as businesses, councils, airports and other organisations may develop their own smoke-free policies to ban the use of e-cigarettes and smoking within their premises.
