The NSW Government is committed to developing a better understanding of the therapeutic potential of cannabis medicines. The Government is investing $9 million over five years in clinical trials that will explore the use of cannabis medicines in providing relief from a range of debilitating illnesses.
The NSW Government has also established the Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research and Innovation, which is receiving $12 million in funding over four years to help further our understanding of cannabis and cannabis medicines for therapeutic purposes, monitor the NSW Government-funded clinical trials and support evidence-based innovation.
